Virtual exhibitions offer insights into the stock of maps and collections of the Moravská zemská knihovna. A short introductory text is usually accompanied by a set of exhibits, generally already digitised, with brief annotations, links to the library system, and other preserved specimens in our collections. The first phase will focus on the exhibitions of map works showing the area of the Czech Lands. We will continue with significant examples from workshops of prominent cartographers, thematic collections regarding particular territories, and military or manuscript maps. We will also focus on the graphic decoration of maps and vedute. When determining which topics are a priority we will, of course, take into consideration the ideas, wishes, and requirements of our web users (mapy.mzk.cz).
