A valuable set of maps including not only the territories of the historical Hungarian countries, but covering almost the entire Balkan peninsula. Particular emphasis was placed on gathering maps from the early 18th century that depict the course of victorious wars of Austrian troops with the Ottoman Empire. The collection includes a number of manuscript plans of cities and especially the valuable map inventory section which, as one of the first, processes the development of cartographic depiction of the area of historical Hungary.
